    Not necessarily. It depends on what style, system, and school. I’ve seen a wide variety of different ways that end up 95+% the same.

    I learned to tie it mirror the way he does, as it seems you have. But I’ve always had friends who’ve trained at different schools that do it a different way.

    Frankly, there is no absolute “right” way.

    This is one of the better videos. At least with this technique the belt stays ’single’ at the back.

    You know, the only place I have ever heard that the belt never touches the ground is in American schools where the instructors disctract students with useless protocol instead of teaching them anything. Your belt signifies rank and keeps your jacket closed. It isn’t a national flag or a holy relic.

    yea this is the same way i tie my taekwondo belt.. its alot fucking easyer if u as me..

    yea but the guy did a mistake. the tag on the belt (it can be black or red) should be on the LEFT side. thats where ur stripes go.
